World Cup skier Karl-Johan Westberg won the men's mass start in Linköping yesterday and was also the favorite in Friday's sprint.

But there it stopped early.

The 29-year-old was second in the race and was guarding his position - but took it easy.

Behind him, club friend Erik Fransson came rushing in, and managed to walk past by a hundredth of a margin after the goal photo.

- He was a bit too cold, you might think, says SVT's guest expert Johan Ericson and continues:

- It was extremely careless of Karl-Johan Westberg not to have better control behind him.

It had not cost him anything to take two more pole vaults.

It is completely unnecessary what he does.

Skrällen opens up for the rest of the field when the competitions continue with semifinals and finals.
