Malmö FF were big favorites before the meeting with the bottom team Sundsvall on Friday night.

But despite the reigning champions taking the lead, had a big game advantage and created plenty of goal chances, they eventually lost 2-1.

After the match, Malmö's coach Milos Milojevic was clear that the loss could be decisive when the Allsvenskan is to be decided later this year.

- It is a loss that may have cost us the Allsvenskan this year.

If we are to win the series, we must win this match, he tells Expressen.

Drops ground at the top

Malmö has been the major dominant player in Swedish football in recent years.

In total, the club has won seven Swedish Championship gold medals since 2010. But during this year's season, the machinery has cracked.

The loss against Sundsvall was the fourth in thirteen matches.

Milojevic makes his first season in Malmö after leaving Hammarby after last year.

- The day the association feels that I can no longer help the club, we can go our separate ways, he says.
