An Egyptian court has sentenced Taher Abu Zeid, the star of Al-Ahly and the former Egyptian national team, to three years in prison and a bail of 50 thousand pounds to stop execution in connection with the issue of issuing checks without balance.

"Cairo 24" website stated that two lawyers filed a complaint against Taher Abu Zeid, accusing him of writing a check without balance, the value of which is the expenses of his stay in one of the famous hotels in the first department of Nasr City.

It is noteworthy that the hotel has also filed a lawsuit to collect checks without balance, which it was unable to pay to the hotel, which exceeded the one million pounds barrier.
