As a result, universities from all over the country can participate in the qualifying round for the 100th tournament.



Qualifying sessions are usually held in the fall of the year before the competition and are contested by the total time of the top 10 students from each university.

On the other hand, the open-participation Kanto Student Union team made up of university players who lost in the qualifying round will not be organized in the 100th tournament.
