These are just words, and some will not believe them.

But one thing is certain, they at least have the merit of existing.

Not all players take the time to write them down or say them after a story ends, plus a very difficult end like relegation from a club.

Yacine Adli, at the age of 21, decided to do so on Monday before joining the great AC Milan this season after two and a half years at the Girondins de Bordeaux.

The midfielder published an open letter on Monday evening via social networks.

A letter in which he apologizes above all for having led the club where he is today, that is to say in Ligue 2. Yacine Adli also confides in the last months he has lived in Gironde : "I'm not ashamed to say this club, at least some people from this club, made me touch depression" before adding that "many gave [him] a lot of love".

A fairly rare confidence for a professional footballer.

A confidence confirmed by one of the witnesses from the Bordeaux locker room despite the extra-sporting affairs at the end of the season: “He was really not well… He was always honest even if he was not always good.

A real beautiful person who should have been allowed to grow and be supervised”.

Potential not yet fully exploited

His passage will have been made mostly of ups and downs.

Arrived very young from PSG without having really discovered the professional world, Yacine Adli has at least proven that he could impose himself at a very high level with the Girondins.

His transfer to AC Milan last summer for 10 million euros (before being loaned to Bordeaux) surely disrupted his last season in Bordeaux.

A last season where he still finished best passer of the Navy and White.

In this letter, he thanks certain employees one by one, his teammates, his three coaches and the supporters, hoping that the club will "return very quickly to its place" in Ligue 1.
