<Reporter> Woo Sang-

hyeok heralded the birth of a new star by winning a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships held in Eugene, Oregon, USA in 2014 when he was 18 years old.

A place of pleasant memories, Sanghyuk Woo is returning after 8 years.

Now, he is proudly a strong candidate for the championship of the 'The Contest of Top Stars' World Championships.

[Sanghyuk Woo/National High Jump Team: I still have vivid memories of Oregon.

Now that I'm taking what's called a 'winner', I didn't know it was going to be like this.]

Woo Sang-hyuk has grown terribly since last year's Tokyo Olympics.

He broke his Korean record by crossing 2m36 and became the first Korean track and field athlete to win the Indoor World Championships and Diamond League.

This is thanks to the fact that he made more use of his long-term speed through customized training, and reduced his weight by 2kg more than at the Olympics through severe self-management.

At this World Championships, Woo Sang-hyeok will challenge the 'dream record' of jumping over 50cm taller than his own height, as well as Korea's first gold medal in track and field.

[Woo Sang-hyeok / National High Jump: What are the limits of human beings?

I want to break that, and I want to show him running 2m38 once.]

Woo Sang-hyuk showed his strong confidence that his preparations were over.

[Woo Sang-hyeok / National high jump team: gold, win.

I'd love to see you.

A historic moment, don't miss it!]
