Uguev became the five-time champion of Russia in freestyle wrestling

Uguev won the final fight in the weight category up to 57 kg over Nachyn Mongush.

Gold was also won by Ibrahim Ibragimov (up to 65 kg), Razambek Zhamalov (up to 74 kg), Artur Naifonov (up to 86 kg), Aslanbek Sotiev (up to 97 kg), Alen Khubulov (up to 125 kg).

Uguev, 27, is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic champion.

He also won two world championships.

The fighter became the champion of Russia for the fifth time.

Earlier it was reported that the reigning world champion Abasgadzhi Magomedov won the gold medal of the Russian freestyle wrestling championship in Kyzyl.
