He ran a World Cup race as late as yesterday, but now Fredrik Lindgren has decided to pause the competition season.

The 36-year-old had major problems with his lungs after falling ill with covid-19 and after that went into a severe depression.

He finally got up from it but now the problems have returned.

- After consulting a doctor, we have decided to pause the racing season in the coming weeks.

Last competition season ended prematurely after fighting with covid.

In recent weeks, shortness of breath has now reappeared, Lindgren writes on Instagram and continues:

- Hopefully I can recover by pulling the brake and taking a break from racing.

I'm going to recover and finish the 2022 season.
