The Algerian city of Oran (west of the country) is preparing for the start of the Mediterranean Games starting tomorrow, Saturday.

The scenes of the latest preparations dominate the city, as the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games receives more than 4,000 athletes from 26 countries, and its competitions will continue until the fifth of next July, and the competitions will be held in 24 sports competitions.

And the organizing committee announced earlier that all tickets for the opening ceremony had been sold out, 24 hours after they were put up for sale through a digital platform specially developed for this purpose.

Organizers put 32,000 tickets for sale at a price of about a dollar per ticket.

The committee decided to offer free electronic tickets to enable fans to follow the sports competitions, provided that attendance at the closing ceremony is paid for, and is likely to be at the same price as the opening ceremony ticket.

Oran is the second Algerian city to host the competitions after Algiers, which hosted the games in 1975.
