Caroline Garcia back at the top just before Wimbledon?

The Lyonnaise won her first WTA tournament on Saturday after three years of drought by winning 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-4 against the Canadian Bianca Andreescu in the final in Bad Homburg in Germany.

This is the 8th career title for this 28-year-old player (75th in the world).

She had not played in the final since her victory in June 2019 in Nottingham, already on grass, at a time when she was among the best in the world (4th in 2018).

No Frenchwoman had won a tournament of this level (WTA 250 and above) since Fiona Ferro in Palermo in August 2020.
