Tilda Månsson won a Swedish JVM gold in triathlon, which became a duathlon (running-cycling-running) on Friday in Montreal, Canada.

- There was a lot of rain and then the values in the water became bad.

They have limits for different bacteria in the water, and the values were too bad, says the Swede.

The swimming failed and was replaced by another run.

- My strength is in running, so that way it turned out well.

But of course I had hoped for triathlon.

Månsson had company in the first lap on the final run but on the second lap she had got rid of Jules Behrens, Germany, who took the silver.

Månsson, who won gold at the junior European Championships in Poland at the end of May, now hopes to take the next step in his career.

- It is not completely clear, but I hope to run senior competitions and in the World Cup in the future.

You go on rankings so you just have to keep performing, she says.
