The nasty event during the art swimming world championships got a lot of attention.

Alvarez fainted in the middle of the competition and was rescued from the bottom of the pool by his coach Andrea Fuentes and woke up shortly afterwards.

Alvarez has undergone medical examinations which showed that she is feeling well after the incident.

But now she is stopped from competing further by the international swimming federation.

"FINA has decided that she is not allowed to compete with regard to the practitioner's safety," Alvarez's team wrote on Instagram.

- I gave everything into the last and then I remember that I started to sink and felt that I did not start to feel good and that was literally the last thing I remembered, Alvarez has previously said about the event.
