The women's national team is recharging in Båstad ahead of the European Football Championship in England, which starts on 7 July.

Included in the camp is Amanda Nildén, 23, who is getting ready for her first big championship.

Nildén was one of the big jokers in Peter Gerhardsson's national team squad, considering that she made her debut in the national team in November last year and only made three international appearances.

- It is clear that they started to have those thoughts about the European Championships and it is clear that it has always been a dream.

When you start to approach and get to show what you stand for, it is clear that you got it in mind.

What was it like to see his name in the squad?

- Fantastic fun.

It's something I only dreamed of before and to now be here and put on the national team jersey.

It's a dream.

Tribute by Sembrant

In Juventus, Nildén is a teammate with Linda Sembrant and Lina Hurtig.

Sembrant praises her development during the year.

- Amanda came this year and has had a good development during the year.

It's great fun, she says and continues:

- It has been fun to follow her this year and see her development.

Exciting to follow her even before the selection with the nervousness.

Very fun that she gets the chance to be here.

Selected for this year's team

Nildén and Sembrant have together won both the league and the cup.

The 23-year-old was also selected in this year's team.

- I'm happy with my season.

It has gone very well, I think.

I have entered Italian football in a good way.

It has worked well with the team and I have developed a lot.

What do you think about your role in the national team?

- I do not think specifically about my role.

Like everyone else you are here because you have good qualities and have to show them on the field.

Just relax and drive one hundred percent as always.

Then if it's on the plane or the side of, we'll see.
