Qatar's Nasser Al-Khelaifi, head of the Paris Saint-Germain team, ruled out the possibility of French coach Zinedine Zidane, stressing that he rejected a big offer from Real Madrid to include the team's star, Kylian Mbappe.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Al-Khelaifi talked about the new Paris Saint-Germain project after the departure of the Brazilian Leonardo and the arrival of Luis Campos as the team's new sporting director.

During the full interview, which will be published later today, Al-Khelaifi did not confirm the departure of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, but he ruled out the possibility of Zinedine Zidane.

"I love Zidane as a player and as a coach, but we did not talk to him directly or indirectly at all," he explained.

Al-Khelaifi defended star Kylian Mbappe, and responded to Florentino Perez's claim that Mbappe changed his mind in the past ten days.

"I refused 180 million (euros) last summer from Real Madrid because I knew that Kylian wanted to stay in Paris Saint-Germain. I know him well, I know what he and his family want and they are not affected by money," he explained.

"He (Mbappe) chose to play here for his city, his club, his country and the sports project. He only thinks of playing and winning."

On LaLiga President Javier Tebas's criticism of his team, he said, "What we do we do because we know we can. It is not in our way to talk about other leagues, leagues, clubs or federations. We do not give lessons and we will not allow anyone to give us lessons. It is the same every year, and we will continue to build our project."

Al-Khelaifi also spoke about Leo Messi, Neymar and the new transfer policy that Luis Campos will implement.

According to Marca newspaper, the data indicates that Paris Saint-Germain will announce the appointment of Christophe Galtier, coach of Nice, this week as the new coach of the Paris team.
