The player of the modern sailing national team, Adel Khaled, achieved a great achievement by winning the third place and the bronze medal in the “Alka 7 Master 2022” World Championships for modern sailing, which was held in Mexico with the participation of many world teams.

This achievement is the first of its kind achieved by the UAE national team, as the first Gulf, Arab and Asian team to reach this global position, knowing that it was the only Arab team participating in this major tournament, and like him were the players Adel Khaled, Hamza Al Ali, and coach Zuhair lace.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Sailing and Modern Rowing Federation, thanked the wise leadership for its unlimited support for the team, as well as its support for all sports activities and events that contribute to raising the flag of the nation in international forums.

He said: "I thank the UAE Sailing and Modern Rowing Federation, whose members are keen to advance this important sport. The Federation's strategy, follow-up and continuous encouragement for athletes contributed to the UAE national team winning many titles in regional and international competitions in sailing and rowing, the latest of which is the World Championships."
