Spanish Barcelona became Champions League champions after winning the final against Polish Kielce.

After full time it was 28-28, and after extra time 32-32.

After that, a criminal decision awaited.

Barcelona set all five penalties.

Kielce did not.

Gonzalo Perez de Vargas saved Kielce's third penalty when a parade stopped Alex Dushebaev's shot.

Dramatic bronze match for Ekberg

The bronze match, which was decided a few hours later, was also decided after a penalty shootout.

There, Niclas Ekberg and THW Kiel won after rarely seen drama.

The match went to penalties when Hungarian Veszprem equalized to 34-34 on just one penalty throw in the very last second of the match.

The first penalty shooter for Kiel was Niclas Ekberg who made no mistakes.

Veszprem missed his first two free throws and when Danish star goalkeeper Niklas Landin Jacobsen also saved the fourth, it was clear that Ekberg and Kiel won the bronze.
