In May last year, Christian Taylor tore off his hamstring during a competition in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

The three-step star missed the Olympics but is now working to return to the Olympics in Paris 2024.

Therefore, it was special to compete in the Diamond League which was decided in the French capital.

- I really love Paris.

Knowing that this is where I will be in two years gives me butterflies in my stomach, says Christian Taylor to SVT Sport.

Taylor jumped 16.54 as the longest and finished seventh.

- Incredible.

And another success because it was the best of the season, says Taylor who is grateful to be able to compete again.

- To be back is a dream come true.

Jordan Diaz, Cuba, won the triple jump at 17.66 - one centimeter ahead of compatriot Andy Diaz who finished second.
