The Saudi Federation requests medical reports for Muhannad Al-Shanqiti, a Jeddah player

The Saudi Football Association requested the management of Al-Ittihad club to provide it with medical reports on the physical condition of Muhannad Al-Shanqiti, the first-team football player.

Saad Al-Shehri, the coach of the Saudi Olympic team, had summoned Al-Shanqiti, and Al-Hilal player Musab Al-Juwair, to represent Al-Akhdar, who is currently participating in the AFC U-23 Cup finals.

And the Saudi newspaper, "Al-Riyadia", stated that the administration of the federation responded that the player was injured and could not participate, but without attaching the reports. Nevertheless, he participated "from the beginning" in his team's trial meeting in front of Abha five days ago.

On the other hand, the Hilal administration at that time submitted medical reports on Al-Juwair's condition, proving that he was admitted to the hospital, and the treating doctor confirmed his need for a three-day rest, while leaving the choice to the coach and the team doctor regarding whether to join Al-Akhdar or not.

It is noteworthy that Al-Shanqiti played a key role in the match against his team in the league against Al-Taei, before being called to the Saudi Olympic list, which qualified last Wednesday for the AFC U-23 Cup final.

The final match of the tournament will be held on Sunday, where the Saudi team will compete for the title with the host Uzbekistan.
