After Russia's invasion of Ukraine, all Russian skiers from the World Cup were stopped in cross-country skiing.

No word has yet been announced on whether the Russian riders will be allowed to return to the competitions for the coming season.

But the Norwegian star Johannes Hösflot Kläbo hopes for a continued stop.

- As long as one country goes to war against another, I believe that they should of course not be allowed to start in international sports, Kläbo said recently at a press conference.

But Russian Alexander Bolshunov does not like Kläbo's words.

- It is not fun to hear how Kläbo says that he does not want to see Russians in the World Cup.

I hate to hear this.

You have to compete with the strongest and win.

It is good for the sport and for the interest, says Bolshunov according to Aftenposten.
