Musimani reveals the greatest moment in his life with Al-Ahly... and Zamalek is a party to it

South African Betso Mosimane, the former coach of the first football team of Al-Ahly of Egypt, said that his victory in the African Champions League final against Zamalek in November 2020 (the final of the century) was the most important moment in his life.

Musimani said in a video published by Al-Ahly’s official account on the social networking site “Facebook” today: “We faced Zamalek in the final of the African Champions League 2020. The match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is the final of the century, an event that does not happen often, perhaps once in a lifetime and we won it, this It is the most important and greatest event in my life."

He added, "There are many important moments that I have with Al-Ahly of Egypt that I will not forget, including winning the African Champions League at the expense of Kaizer Chiefs 2021 and the two bronze medals in the World Club World Cup and other things."

He explained, "Thank you to Al-Khatib, the club's president, who believed in me and my abilities and that we will succeed together. I made a difficult decision to take over the responsibility of coaching a big team the size of Al-Ahly. It was a great opportunity for me to coach a team that is the largest in Africa and the Middle East."

He continued, "The appreciation I got in Al-Ahly did not get it even in my country, South Africa. In Egypt, I cannot walk in the street because of the fans' love for me being a coach for Al-Ahly."

He said, "Everything has an end.. It is natural that at the moment of the end of a coach with a club that he is a sad, angry and tense party, but at that moment it did not happen between me and Al-Ahly, it was a respectable thing."

He added, "No one forced me to leave Al-Ahly. I got enough respect from everyone, Al-Khatib and his board of directors. Al-Khatib never interfered in my work, even though he is a famous former football player. He gave me the full opportunity."

He explained, "I am leaving the club and I do not have late dues. I am happy for this end, despite my sadness to leave the place I love."
