Sultan Al Qasimi rewards Sharjah champions with 27 million dirhams
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the appropriation of 27 million dirhams to reward the emirate’s clubs that achieved achievements in the (2020-2021) and (2021-2022) seasons, in appreciation of the giving of these clubs and motivating their teams and players to continue achieving titles. and championships locally, and continue to strive to honor the state in international forums.
The generous award includes the players of 17 clubs in the Emirate of Al Basma that have won titles and championships in the past and current seasons: Sharjah Sports, Al Bataeh, Thiqa for the Disabled, Dibba Al-Hisn, Maliha, Khorfakkan Sports, Sharjah for Self-Defense Sports, Sharjah Marine Sports, Sharjah Cultural Chess, Kalba Union , Al Dhaid, Al Hamriya, chess for girls, Khorfakkan for the disabled, Al Madame, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing, Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation.
Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for the new generous donation to motivate the clubs with achievements for the past and current seasons, stressing that these achievements would not have been achieved without His Highness’s unlimited support and sponsorship of the emirate’s clubs For his athletes and his keenness to always appreciate the distinguished.
He added, "The honor is a great incentive for Sharjah clubs to strive to achieve more achievements, in return for this generous support and the great interest that the clubs enjoy, which was not affected despite the disruption of activity for periods due to the pandemic conditions in the past two years, so the result was more local titles and championships. And more numbers of the emirate's players in the ranks of the national teams in various games.
Issa Hilal concluded his statement, stressing that the award is a message to the clubs that achievements are the title of sports in the smiling emirate, thanks to the ideal sports environment that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah laid the foundations of through the advanced infrastructure equipped with the latest facilities, equipment and sports technologies.
