Ståhl's giant throw after the form slump - strikes with the best of the season

The last time Daniel Ståhl got his discus over 70 meters was almost exactly one year ago, on July 10, 2021 in Bottnaryd.

But during the start of the World Cup season, it has been heavier.

Eleven straight races under 70 meters and three Diamond League races without a win.

At the Continental Tour Gold gala in Turku, Finland, however, it looked completely different.

Already in the first round, the throw measured 70.62 meters - the third longest throw this season.

Only Kristjan Ceh, Slovenia, has thrown longer.
