Charles Leclerc took pole position in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which starts this Sunday at 1 p.m.
World championship leader Max Verstappen will start third, behind Red Bull team-mate Sergio Pérez and ahead of fellow Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.
Leclerc, who has not won for two months, is nine points behind Verstappen in the general classification.
Since the start of the Formula 1 season, Charles Leclerc has been the master of qualifying: six out of eight possible.
The Grand Prix confirmed this trend, even if the Monegasque admitted on Saturday, once the case was in the bag: "I didn't necessarily expect it".
It now remains to convert these places of choice into victories: the Ferrari driver won two in 2022, the last in Australia on April 10, against four for his great rival, title holder Max Verstappen.
The Dutchman of Red Bull, third at the start in Baku behind his colleague Sergio Pérez, is nine points ahead of Leclerc in the world championship standings.
