Bahrain national football team come from behind against Malaysia to win the Asian qualifiers

 The Bahrain national team overturned its goal against Malaysia to win 2-1 during the match that brought them together today, Saturday, at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, in the second round of Group E competitions in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, which witnessed the victory of Turkmenistan over Bangladesh 2 / 1.

The Malaysian team advanced with a goal scored by Muhammadu Samara in the 55th minute, and the Bahraini team tied through Ali Haram in the 57th minute, before Abdullah Yousef Abdul Rahim scored the winning goal for the Bahraini team in the 81st minute from a penalty kick.


In the second match, which was held earlier in the day, Turkmenistan defeated Bangladesh 2-1.

Turkmenistan's goals were scored by Timrat Anadurdyev in the eighth minute and Arslanmirat Amanov in the 88th minute, while the Bangladesh national team's goal was scored by Muhammad Ibrahim in the 13th minute.

The Bahraini team topped the group standings with points, and the Malaysian team came in second place with 3 points, ahead of Turkmenistan, which ranked third, while the Bangladesh team remained without a score of points in fourth place.
