The truth about Hazem Imam's resignation and the position of the Minister of Youth on the departure of the Egyptian Football Association

Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, Ihab El-Komy, denied that his colleague in the council, Hazem Emam, had submitted his resignation from his position after the loss from Ethiopia, and his dissatisfaction with the way the national team was managed by the federation.

Hazem Imam was in Malawi, accompanied by the Pharaohs, to attend the Ethiopia match, which he lost 2-0 in the African Nations qualifiers.

And the “Little Fox” returned to raise the controversy again about his relationship with the Football Association after its previous crisis, during which he boycotted the meetings of the Football Association, after the appointment of Ihab Jalal as coach of the national team to succeed the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz, as Hazem Imam was demanding the appointment of a foreign coach and the exclusion of the idea of nominating a national coach. for the pharaohs.

It is also reported that a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, and the former Al-Ahly star, Mohamed Barakat, also submitted his resignation from his position, rejecting the idea of the marginalization of the President of the Federation, Dr. Gamal Allam, for football stars in the Board of Directors of the Football Association, and singling out decisions that specifically concern the national team.

The past hours witnessed contacts between the President of the Football Association and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, in which the first presented the idea of submitting a collective resignation to the Board of Directors to absorb the state of anger prevailing in the Egyptian street after the historical loss from Ethiopia.

The Egyptian minister rejected this idea, fearing that the Egyptian football would enter the circle of appointing temporary councils to manage the Football Association and impose a new guardianship on the part of "FIFA" on the Egyptian football.

Ihab El-Koumi said that all options are open to the Football Association, whether by dismissing the technical staff or submitting a collective resignation to the Board of Directors to deal with the consequences of Ethiopia's loss.

Al-Koumi added, in statements to the Allaib program on MBC, that the board of directors will hold an emergency meeting early next week to take many decisions to correct the course of the national team, stressing that these decisions will be a real revolution to restore the situation to its rightful place.
