In April, soccer J1 Cerezo Osaka canceled the contract with former Japan national team Takashi Inui, who was suspended from participating in the official match for acting to disturb the discipline and order of the team during the match.

When Inui was ordered to replace Kashiwa Reysol at home on April 5, he refused to shake hands with Akio Kogiku and ranted in front of his supporters.

In response to this, Cerezo issued a suspension to Inui for six official games, and during this time, he did not allow the team to participate in the practice.

Although the disposition was completed in mid-May, Inui did not participate in the practice after that, and it was difficult to repair the relationship with the club.

Under these circumstances, Cerezo canceled the contract with Inui on the 9th.

Inui is 34 years old from Shiga prefecture.

He is a former Japan national team offensive midfielder who scored two goals at the 2018 World Cup Russia.

He returned to Cerezo from the Spanish team last year and played five league games this season as the team's core player, scoring three goals.

Through the club, Inui commented, "Once we have come to the conclusion that resetting our relationship with Cerezo is a good choice for each other."

Hiroaki Morishima, President of Cerezo, commented, "I'm sorry for this result. Inui has made a great contribution to Cerezo. I hope he will continue to play an active role in the future."
