From April 8 to May 11, the Chinese Basketball Association organized a large training camp at the Sichuan Jinqiang Basketball Training Base.

Subsequently, the training team was transferred to Huzhou, Zhejiang, and at the end of May, the team participated in the three-person basketball invitational tournament (Huzhou Station) held in Deqing, Huzhou. The team selected different teams and finally decided to participate in the Asian Cup, World Cup, U23 Tournament lineup.

  In the three-person basketball competition venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games and the three-person basketball court in the Geographic Information Town of Deqing, Huzhou, Zhejiang, the Chinese three-person basketball team formed 4 women's teams and 3 men's teams to participate in the competition: the women's basketball team is divided into blue team, red team, The U23 blue team and the U23 red team, the men's basketball team is divided into the blue team, the red team, and the U23 team.

After two competition days with provincial and municipal clubs, the national men's blue team won the men's championship, and the national women's red team won the women's championship.

In combination with the game, the coaching staff conducted on-site inspections and comprehensive evaluations of the players' training and performance on the pitch.

  The three-player basketball game consists of three players from each team attacking and defending in the half court. It is fast-paced, strong in confrontation and grounded. It was included in the official competition of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2017.

At the Tokyo Olympics, the Chinese team won the bronze medal in the women's group and won the first Olympic medal in the event.

Entering the Paris Olympic cycle, the Chinese three-person basketball team will make its international debut on the World Cup stage.

From June 21 to 26, the three-person basketball World Cup will be held in Antwerp, Belgium.

In the group stage, the men's team will be in the same group as Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland and Japan, while the women's team will face Germany, Romania, Lithuania and Japan.
