The Portuguese national team led the second group in the first level of the European Football Championship, after its victory over its Czech guest 2-0, today, Thursday, in the third round of the tournament, which witnessed the Spanish team’s victory over its Swiss counterpart 1-0.

Cancelo put Portugal, the 2019 champions, ahead with a shot from a narrow angle in the 33rd minute of the match, which was held in Group B at the first level.

Guedes doubled the lead soon after, after the Valencia striker found space for Fernando Santos's side to tighten their grip on top of the group with seven points from three games.

The Portuguese team raised its score to seven points at the top of the standings, and the balance of the Czech team stopped at four points in third place.

Portugal will visit Switzerland on Sunday.

In the second match, Spain defeated its Swiss host with a clean goal, scored by Pablo Sarabia in the 13th minute.

The Spanish team raised its score to five points at the top of the standings, and the Swiss team remained without a score at the bottom of the standings.
