Right now, the Norwegian cross-country national team is at a training camp in Sognefjället, where Johannes Hösflot Kläbo is participating.

But the star will not be in so many more camps with the national team before the season starts.

The reason is that Kläbo has chosen to make its own major investment in training at high altitudes.

- It is clear that some collisions.

I do not really know when I will make the first trip to train at high altitude yet.

But I will not participate in so many collections.

I have chosen to do this because altitude training is important to me, the 25-year-old tells VG.

The Norwegian national team has seven planned gatherings for the winter.

Where Kläbo, who will have two or three longer periods of training at high altitude, will be missing.

In addition, he is expected to train on his own around Christmas or before the World Cup in Planica.

- If I get a collection during the autumn, I will be happy.

I can not go directly from altitude training to gathering with the national team.

I doubt that it will be especially many days with the team, says Kläbo.

According to coach Arild Monsen, the rest of the national team is okay with Kläbo being absent from collections.

- I have raised it with the team, and everyone has said that they are okay with it, but we hope that he can be with us some anyway, he says.
