The 19th FINA World Ice Swimming Championships in 2022 will be held in Budapest from June 18 to July 3. This is the return of the event to the Hungarian capital after five years.
At the same time, this is also the highest-standard international competition that the Chinese diving team will face after entering the Paris Olympic cycle.
At the 2019 Gwangju Swimming World Championships, the old Chinese diving team won a total of 12 gold medals, including eight Olympic champions, creating the best record in the world championships.
After the Tokyo Olympics, veterans such as Shi Tingmao and Wang Han announced their retirement, and the Chinese diving team ushered in a new round of personnel replacement.
