Aiko Sugihara, who participated in two consecutive Olympic games in gymnastics, will retire from the front line of the competition at the end of this month's All Japan Championships.

She participated in the Tokyo tournament last year, but after that she had a knee surgery in October and missed the All Japan Championship and last month's NHK Cup.
