Tampa Bay's Choi Ji-man celebrated the team's victory with a hitting streak for seven games in a row.

Choi Ji-man started as first baseman in the 2022 American Professional Baseball Major League Baseball match against St. Louis at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA on the 8th, and recorded 1 in 4 at-bat.

Choi Ji-man's season batting average was 0.263, the same as the previous day, after hitting the New York Yankees on the 30th of last month.

Ji-man Choi recorded his team's first hit with a single extra inning.

St. Louis starting Dakota Hudson's body sinker was pulled straight and he hit a double that fell in front of right fielder.

He was sluggish after innings.

He struck out a foul tip in his second at-bat at 2 out of 1 in 3 innings, and only grounded to 1st base in the 6th inning.

He hit third baseman in the last at bat in the ninth, a 1–1 match.

Tampa Bay beat St. Louis 4-2 to escape their second straight streak thanks to Taylor Walls' walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning.
