Almost ten years after his professional debut in the Lyon jersey, in October 2012 in Nice, Anthony Lopes has just extended his adventure at OL on Tuesday for two more seasons, i.e. until 2025. The goalkeeper with 419 games with the he first team is currently the sixth most capped player in the history of the club, and he should therefore very quickly enter the Top 5 (Aimé Mignot has 425 games).

This includes two other emblematic goalkeepers of the club, Grégory Coupet (519) and Yves Chauveau (490).

Will he exceed the 490 games of legendary goalkeeper Yves Chauveau?

The latter also participated in the beautiful announcement of extension of Anthony Lopes broadcast Tuesday evening on the social networks of the club.

Despite the difficult season of Olympique Lyonnais (8th in Ligue 1), the 31-year-old Portuguese international was one of the few satisfactions, after a delicate summer during which he almost saw the Cameroonian André Onana (ex-Ajax ) land in Lyon to be a holder.

OL supporters have now been waiting, and have been for several days, for the formalization of the return of another symbol of the training center, namely Alexandre Lacazette.

The announcement of a club press conference, Thursday from 9 a.m. with Jean-Michel Aulas, Vincent Ponsot and Bruno Cheyrou, has just caused a lot of enthusiasm, this Wednesday morning.

There is little doubt that the former Gunner will be present alongside Anthony Lopes for this launch with great fanfare of the Lyon transfer window.
