When Peter Gerhardsson presented his European Championship squad directly on SVT on Tuesday night, there were mainly three names that stood out among the players who were missed: Olympic silver medalists Madelen Janogy, Julia Roddar and Anna Anvegård.

- Anvegård, Janogy and Roddar were present during the Olympics and helped us there, so it's a tough decision to put over players.

But there are additional players we could have included as well.

It is a good situation for us and a good situation for Sweden, but it is of course difficult for the players who are not with, says Peter Gerhardsson who spent large parts of Monday with his assistant national team captain Magnus Wikman to get the right side on the last details.

- We notice that there are more players that we discuss than we did before the World Cup -19 and the Olympics about these last places.

Tactical things have decided why we choose as we do, there have been more discussions and more players involved clearly, says Gerhardsson.

He did not take out the final squad until last night.

- We sat at my house yesterday for a long time and discussed the last parts and then we still talked details for a long time but yesterday we determined what became today's squad.
