“At almost 35 years old [he will have them on July 3], Benoît Costil will turn to a new challenge.

We wish him the best in the rest of his career, ”we can read there.

Arrived in Bordeaux in 2017, the native of Caen will have played 182 games in the jersey with the scapular.

A complicated season

In a nightmarish season, which sealed the club's relegation to Ligue 2, Costil was not spared.

Beyond his performance on the lawn, the French international goalkeeper was taken to task by some of the supporters and accused of racism – which he strongly contested.

He published a story on Tuesday morning indicating his presence at the Rots sports complex, which bears his name, in Calvados.

Perhaps a way of making it clear that he is already preparing for the coming season.
