The European Championships in trampoline were decided in Rimini, Italy this weekend and Lina Sjöberg, 28, held the Swedish flag high.

Not only by jumping high and technically good, but also by winning a silver medal for Sweden.

She made it through the new format, with qualifiers with two different combinations and qualified as one of eight gymnasts for the final.

Her first jump there was barely enough for final two.

There, Sjöberg and three others settled for the medals.

"The most difficult jump"

Then the Swede took his ace out of his coat sleeve - a stretched double volt with one and a half screws, followed by a stretched double volt backwards with a double screw.

- It is the most difficult jump that the girls did, so I am very happy that I performed well.

Unfortunately, 0.2 points is too bad, she says.

Only Sjöberg and gold medalist Kirsty Way dared to do the combination and the British made it a little better.

The silver was Sjöberg's fourth European Championship medal in trampoline and a total of tenth medal in major international championships (five World Cup medals and one in the World Games).

Even though the 28-year-old had dreamed of the gold, she is happy considering the conditions.

- In the form I am now, I could not do much better.

It feels very good.
