Earlier this year, Isabelle Gulldén said that she decided to move home to Sweden after the season.

Her sister, Rebecca, has suffered from cervical cancer, and Gulldén wants to be closer to the family.

She leaves the Norwegian big club Vipers Kristiansand for Lugi.

Her last assignment in the Vipers: Trying to win the Champions League.

Defended the title

And tonight it was clear that she succeeded in her goal.

Her Vipers won the final against youngster Györ with 33-31, and thus defended the title from last season.

The match, which was played in front of as many as 15,400 spectators (new world record for a match between two club teams on the women's side) was swinging.

Weak goalkeeper play

Györ started the match best and took a three-goal lead quite early, but the Vipers came back and led 15-13 after half the match.

Györ was able to catch up quickly in the second half, but Vipers regained the lead fairly quickly - partly thanks to weak goalkeeper play in Györ and some really sharp saves by Viper's ditto Katrine Lunde, mainly in the final stages of the match - and never let it go.

Gulldén scored the first goal

Gulldén was one of the big foreground figures of the match.

She was the one who started the goal shooting, and was with her eight goals third best in the team.

The title was Gulldén's third of the year, when Vipers Kristiansand won both the league and the cup in Norway.

She has won the Champions League once before, with Romanian CSM București 2016.

In Vipers Kristiansand plays another Swede: Reserve goalkeeper Evelina Eriksson, who did not get any playing time.
