The Olympic team turns the page of Japan and prepares strongly to meet Tajikistan

Our Olympic football team is preparing to face its counterpart Tajikistan tomorrow, in the second round of Group D competitions in the AFC U-23 Cup (Uzbekistan 2022), after turning the page on the opening loss against Japan yesterday.

Saudi Arabia leads the fourth group with 3 points, after its victory in the first match against Tajikistan by five, and by a difference in goals, followed by Japan after its victory over our team with two goals to one, while our team finished third, and Tajikistan fourth without points.

This morning, our team performed recovery operations for the players who participated in yesterday's match against Japan, while the evening period witnessed a training session at the Tashkent University Stadium, with the participation of all players.

The technical staff of our Olympic team, led by Spaniard Denis Silva, had closed the file of the Japan match, and asked the players to focus on the Tajikistan match, which is very important for our team, and whose outcome must be resolved in our favour, to revive our chances of continuing the qualifiers in the finals.

The coach of the team confirmed the chances of the Olympic white to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament, in his statements during the press conference held yesterday after the end of the match, where he expressed his happiness and pride in the team's performance in the first match.

On the course of the match, Spaniard Denis Silva said: “Although we conceded the first goal in our goal, we did not give up and equalized after a few minutes. "If we continue to play in the same way, I am confident that we will be able to get the 6 points in the next two matches."
