Inflammation was found on the left elbow of the Toronto Blue Jays Ryu Hyun-jin (35).

It looks like her injury breakout will be prolonged.

MLB.com reported on the 4th (Korean time) that "Hyunjin Ryu received a left forearm sprain and inflammation of the elbow on a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination."

Ryu Hyun-jin will check the exact condition of his body through additional tests and diagnosis by the medical staff and decide on a treatment method.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who was placed on the 15-day Injured List (IL) with symptoms of inflammation of the left forearm on the 4th, was found to have an elbow problem during a thorough examination, making organ departure inevitable.

Ryu Hyun-jin has struggled with forearm and elbow problems since the beginning of the season.

He climbed to the IL in April with a left forearm injury and missed nearly a month after his return, and was relegated prematurely after suffering left elbow pain while pitching against the Los Angeles Angels on the 27th of last month, the third game since his return.

Hyunjin Ryu endured the pain and forced to start before the Chicago White Sox held on the 2nd of this month, but he said that he felt uncomfortable in his left forearm and threw 58 balls and came down from the mound again.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who finished the game at the time, predicted that the injury would be prolonged, saying, "It feels similar to the injury at the beginning of the season."

This isn't the first time Hyun-Jin Ryu has suffered from elbow problems.

He underwent an elbow ligament splicing operation in 2004 when he was a student at Dongsan High School, and also suffered an elbow injury in 2016 while playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At that time, Ryu Hyun-jin was out of the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery to remove necrotic tissue after an elbow inflammation was discovered.
