Swedish racing star Felix Rosenqvist is in Detroit to try to take revenge from last year's difficult crash into the wall.

But the 30-year-old has been able to move on from the incident where he got a gas suspension and the brakes stopped working.

- If you make your own mistake and crash, it can be quite difficult to let go and move on, because then it is something you actively think about that you do not want to do again, he says

This year's weekend did not start in the best way, however, when Rosenqvist lost the car in the first corner of training and lost valuable training time.

- I have crashed every time I have been here now, three out of three.

I guess it's just a coincidence really and reload.

Chasing new contract

Rosenqvist, who drives for Arrow McLaren SP, has two pole positions and a race victory in his Indy car career and is in ninth place in this year's driver championship.

But he has no contract for the coming season.

Therefore, a competition like this weekend's Detroit GP becomes extra important.

- Now it is important in the short term to make some good results because it is this time of year you sign new contracts and now there is a lot of talk about silly season.

Last weekend's fourth place Indy 500, where Swedish Marcus Ericsson won, has created a good feeling that he wants to build on.
