Senegalese player Sadio Mane said he will listen to the opinions of his compatriots when he makes his decision on his future with Liverpool, amid speculation that he may leave Anfield a year before the end of his current contract.

Earlier, Mane, who was nominated by some reports to join German champions Bayern Munich, said that he would announce his decision on his future after the Champions League final, which his team lost 1-0 to Spanish champions Real Madrid last weekend in Paris.

Speaking ahead of Senegal's African Nations Cup qualifier against Benin on Saturday, Mane told reporters that he had read an online poll showing that a majority of his countrymen support his move this summer.

The 30-year-old added, "Like everyone, I'm on social media and follow the comments. Don't 60-70% of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool? I'll do what they want. We'll see soon. Don't rush things, because we'll see this together." We will know that in the future."

Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and became a mainstay in Jurgen Klopp's squad, with whom he won the Champions League title in the 2018-2019 season and the Premier League title the following season.

He also helped Liverpool win the League Cup and the FA Cup last season when he scored 23 goals in all competitions.

And last May, Klopp refused to talk about Mane's future, saying that he would achieve success wherever he played.
