Five of the seven matches that were held on Friday in the first round of the European Football Championship witnessed the defeat of the hosts, including 3 severe defeats for the teams of France, Belgium and Croatia.

In the biggest surprises tonight at the Stade de France, the Danish team overturned its goal to win a valuable victory over its French host 2-1, in the first round of Group A matches in the first level of the Nations League.

The French team advanced with a goal scored by Real Madrid star Karim Benzema in the 51st minute, before Andreas Cornelis equalized for the Danish team in the 68th minute.

In the 88th minute, Cornelius scored the second goal for him and the Danish team.

In another surprise in the same round and group, the Austrian team defeated its Croatian host 3-0.

Marko Arnautovic scored the first goal for the Croatian team in the 41st minute, before Mikael Grigorić scored the second goal in the 54th minute.

And in the 57th minute, Marcel Sabitzer scored the third goal for the Austrian team.

Holland sweeps Belgium

And in a third surprise, the Dutch team won a big victory over its Belgian host 4-1, in the first round of Group D competitions at the first level.

Stephen Bergwijn advanced for the Netherlands in the 40th minute, before Memphis Depay added the second goal in the 51st minute.

In the 61st minute, Denzel Dumfries scored the third goal for the Dutch team, and Debye finished his team's quartet in the 65th minute.

In the third minute of stoppage time for the second half, Michy Batshuayi scored Belgium's only goal.

It is noteworthy that the group also includes Poland and Wales, where they met on Wednesday, and the match ended with Poland winning 2-1.
