A strict statement from Turki Al-Sheikh towards Saudi and Egyptian football

Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh explained about the owner of the newly-promoted Almeria club in the Spanish First Division, the fact that his Spanish club, which he acquired in 2019, contracted with Al-Ahly and Zamalek stars Aliou Diang, and Ahmed Zizou, after Egyptian media wrote about the club’s desire to contract with 3 players from Egypt.

Turki Al-Sheikh wrote on his official page on the “Facebook” website, a clarification stating: “No player in the Saudi League or the Egyptian League will be contracted in the Almeria deals in the summer. The Saudi and Egyptian football page has been folded forever.. Do not listen to the misinformation rumors that I used to use my name to increase views and to keep people busy...Almeria is only open to new Arab talents and Arab talents in European and international leagues."

The Spanish club Almeria returned at the end of last season to the Spanish First Division after an absence of 7 years, since its last season in the “La Liga” in 2014-2015.

In the past hours, Egyptian media circulated news of Almeria's desire to sign the Egyptian Al-Ahly midfielder, Alio Diang, the Egyptian Pyramids club wing Ramadan Sobhi, and Zamalek club star Ahmed Sayed Zizou.

This was denied by Turki Al Sheikh, categorically preventing the media from talking about any connection with the Saudi and Egyptian leagues.
