British motorcyclist dies

The Isle of Man TT MotoGP organizers announced today the death of British rider Mark Purslow during qualifying.

Purslow suffered an accident on the third lap of the fourth qualifying period.

The race was held this year after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the longest hiatus since World War II.

Rider Dave Moffett was taken to a hospital in Liverpool after suffering an accident on Tuesday, and the medical report said he had sustained serious injuries but was in stable condition.

The race has been held on the northwest coast of England since 1907 and is considered one of the most dangerous races in motorsport, with 259 participants dying.
