The English Football Association said today, Wednesday, that the Community Shield Cup (English Super Cup) match, which opens the 2022-2023 season, will be held at Leicester City's King Power Stadium on July 30.

This year's match will witness the celebration of the centenary and will bring together Premier League champions Manchester City and FA Cup champions Liverpool.

Wembley Stadium, which usually hosts this match, will not be available to host the European Women's Championship final in the same week.

Leicester won the Community Shield last season by beating Manchester City 1-0.

It is noteworthy that the schedule of matches for the 2022-2023 season in the Premier League will be released on June 16.
