The Primary Licensing Committee for First Class Clubs held its meeting on May 25, at the headquarters of the Dubai Football Association, headed by Omar Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Committee. Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Bataeh, Masfout, Al-Dhaid and Al-Hamriya after meeting all the criteria for licensing the required clubs (sports - infrastructure - staff and administration - legal - financial).

This decision comes after conducting evaluations on all club documents that were submitted during the evaluation process period, which started from October 2021 until April 2022, and several field visits were made during the period from 14 to 24 last March to ensure that the clubs met the infrastructure standards, The Competitions Department in the Federation was keen to identify the most prominent challenges faced by the first-class clubs during the 2021-2022 sports season, in implementation of the development plan for the first-class clubs through the application of club licensing standards and identifying initiatives and opportunities for the development and sustainability of clubs and competitions, which is one of the plans adopted within the pillars of the Federation’s strategy ( Vision 2038).

It is worth noting that the Football Association began implementing the licensing system at the level of first-class clubs for the first time in the 2019-2020 sports season, in cooperation and coordination with the UAE Professional League and through the use of the AFC CLAS system.
