The question of WHERE in the Allsvenskan has been hot for several years.

The tool has been used in many European leagues - but a decision on its introduction into Swedish elite football has not yet been made.

- It is not we who decide in this, but it is the Swedish Football Association (Svff).

The VAR question is pretty quiet on the union now, I would say.

They are watching the issue and looking at whether there will be new variants of VAR in the form of light, says Mats Enquist.

- A decision will not be made in the near future, you can probably safely assume that.

During the autumn / winter, the issue will be discussed again.

The issue is not dead by any means, but the decision is hardly within the near future.

Can decide otherwise

Enquist believes that the opinion of the clubs and supporters has been clear: they do not think that VAR adds in relation to what it costs in the gaming experience.

Could Svff go in and drive over the clubs and decide to introduce WHERE?

- Svff is a democracy like most things in sports.

So it is clear that you can make a democratic decision in another direction if, for example, you get support from the districts.

But for my own part, I am very confident that this will not pass over the heads of the clubs.

"Everything can happen"

What is the current external expectation?

-

It has probably not increased.

It is more that VAR has become more common.

We have teams that go out and play in Europe, where the requirement to have VAR is higher.

There may also be regulations from Fifa (International Football Association and Uefa (European Football Association) that force VAR, anything can happen.

- A lesson about VAR is the part about Goal Line Technology (goal camera), where my opinion is that significantly fewer are negative.

The cost of WHERE, I guess, falls on Svff?

- I do not think it will look like that.

We who are different parties - Sef, Efd, the union and so on - there is the idea that we conduct our own development and take both revenues and costs for it.

I think it will certainly apply to WHERE.

We must, of course, have a discussion with the union about what is reasonable for them to take on when they own the judge's issue.

However, the lion's party will probably land on the elite clubs.
