Former sumo wrestler Toyonoshima Sekiwake and Izutsu's master haircut ceremony was held at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo, and fans and related parties regretted their retirement.

Former Sekiwake Toyonoshima Izutsu master from Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, stepped on the first ring at the first place in 2002, and although he is small as a sumo wrestler with a height of 1 meter 68 cm, he has a quick attack that sneaks into the opponent's pocket. He often participated in the battle for the championship and made the ring exciting.

He was promoted to Sekiwake for the first time in the fall of 2008, but after that he fell into the Makushita for a while due to repeated injuries, and in the spring of 2019 he returned to the Makuuchi at the age of 35 and was active in the Makuuchi for a long time.

After about 18 years of active life, he retired after his last spring place, and now he is instructing the younger generation in the Tokitsukaze stable.

His haircut ceremony was held at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo on the 28th, more than two years after his retirement due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

At the hair-cutting ceremony, as the last effort, we played against Hidenoyama, a former rival of Kotoshogiku Ozeki, who was a childhood rival, and showed a fierce game reminiscent of his active days.

After that, more than 400 people involved, including his father Kazuomi Kajiwara and Katsuo Uchida, a former Tokitsukaze stable master and former Ozeki Yutakayama, put scissors in the large lanterns.

Finally, when Tokizu-style master cut off the big sword, a big applause was given.

After the hair-cutting ceremony, Izutsu said, "I never escaped from my opponent when I was active. That is the most proud part of my sumo life. From now on, I will teach younger generations to train more wrestlers than Toyonoshima. I will do my best. "
