The Swede's margin of victory down to the silver medalist, the Frenchwoman Elise Marc, was finally written to a full one minute and ten seconds.

- It has been a very fun track to drive.

I already felt yesterday that it felt like it suited me, I have been pep and it has been a good feeling for the day.

It was a fairly hilly course to be a paracycle race, Beck tells TT after the award ceremony.

- The legs responded well, when I went to the finish I felt that I did exactly what I could for the day.

New golden opportunity tomorrow

42-year-old Beck not only fulfilled his favorite - but also his own goal.

- Yes, it feels very good.

The pace race is what I invest most in and it has gone really well during the beginning of the season.

On the other hand, there will be no gold celebration.

- I will probably celebrate by getting food in me and going to bed and driving tomorrow again.

Because that's it, on Saturday a new gold medal is at stake as the line race awaits.

- I will try to be offensive and come up with something so maybe it will work out.

We'll see tomorrow, but I'm happy with the day anyway.

World Cup later this summer

TT: But it had not tasted wrong to go home with another gold medal?

- No, absolutely not, haha.

I'm going to do everything I can for it.

The European Championships in Austria is the first major competition for Beck this year.

The next big competitions will not be decided until August, when both the World Cup and the World Cup in Canada await.

But first, Beck will cycle for another European Championship gold in Austria.
