The stars of the Spanish champion Real Madrid and coach Carlo Ancelotti showed great humility when talking about the upcoming Champions League final against Liverpool, tomorrow, Saturday, in the French capital, Paris.

The midfielder, Luka Modric, said that Real Madrid will play the Champions League final against Liverpool with great confidence, and will rely on his extensive experience in the big matches;

But there is no outstanding candidate in Paris.

Real Madrid is in the Champions League final for the fifth time since 2014 after winning the last 7 finals since 1998, and the Spanish team will seek to achieve its 14th title to extend its record in a repeat of the 2018 final, when it defeated Liverpool 3-1 in Kyiv.

Modric: Liverpool are a great team

"We have proven experience in this competition. Some players have played 4 finals in the Champions League. Now we are fortunate to have us," Modric, who participated in Real's achievements in recent years until he was called the "Mister of Europe", told BT Sport. In the fifth final, we have to be ourselves like every season."

He added, "There is no candidate in the final. Liverpool is a great team, having a great season, winning two cups, and fighting for the league until the end. There is no candidate, but we have great confidence."

Real Madrid won 3 consecutive finals between 2016 and 2018 under coach Zinedine Zidane.

Modric confirmed that coach Carlo Ancelotti, who helped the Spanish team win the Champions League for the tenth time in 2014, did not change much to take them back to the final.

"He is himself, what we love about him is his personality, his humility, how he talks to the players, how he deals with us," said the Croatian star.

"When someone like him is next to you, you do more on the pitch. You do more for him. That's why Carlo is such an outstanding coach, one of the best coaches in world football so far. The human side is the best part of his personality, that's the most We love him, and he's the best for this team."

Real lost a round in every match they played in the knockout stages against Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City, but they fought to reach the final and won by a single goal difference on aggregate in each round.

Ancelotti: Real Madrid is a strong team

On this, Ancelotti said, "We are a strong team and the mental side is very good. With the character and experience of this team, you cannot say that he was lucky."

Ancelotti also showed humility and realism when he responded to the statements of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, in which the Egyptian star said that he "seeks revenge against Real Madrid. And that he is the best player in the world in his position."

The Italian coach responded by emphasizing that Salah is indeed the best in the world, and that he has distinctive capabilities.

Despite Real's record of winning the last 7 Champions League finals reached by the team;

Liverpool will draw confidence from one fact;

It was the last time that the Spanish team lost the final of the most prestigious European club competition in 1981 when Liverpool beat it 1-0 in Paris as well.
